Together, we will take a look behind the scenes of Pride, talk about the origins of Baltic Pride, and explore why Pride continues to matter to so many people today.

Pride and Pain: Unmasked and Unashamed

Exhibition „Visible in Death, Unseen in Life“

The exhibition highlights the stories of LGBTIQ+ Ukrainian soldiers who have fallen defending their country and freedom. Most never had the chance to live openly or share their lives with those they loved, yet their sacrifice helps build a Ukraine where everyone can live freely without fear. The exhibition is curated by the Ukrainian organisations LGBT+ military, Kyiv Pride and Kharkiv Pride, and brought to Estonia by the Gender Equality and Equal Treatment Commissioner.

‘Buried Consequences, or the Effects of Oppression” is a group exhibition by queer artists based in Estonia. The exhibition aims to draw attention to various forms of oppression and their hidden or less hidden consequences. The works on display explore queer people’s experiences with oppression, its impact on individuals, and the interpretation of these experiences through creative expression.
The exhibition remains open in Telliskivi Creative City gallery 1.06-14.06 with an opening event taking place 4.06 at 18:00. We will introduce the project in more detail and offer drinks to visitors to celebrate the event together.

Kino Sõprus joins the Baltic Pride 2026 programme with a special film selection inviting audiences to reflect on love, identity, intimacy, and social norms.
The programme features queer-themed fiction and documentary films, biographical dramas, and special cinema evenings that bring LGBT+ experiences, relationships, and stories from different parts of the world and perspectives to the screen.
The selection includes both deeply human and heartfelt stories as well as bold and experimental queer cinema.

The sixth event in the series that kicks off Pride Month, focuses on shame and pride. Through theory and practice, we will explore what shame and pride are, how they are linked to oppression and trauma, and how they manifest in our bodies. The evening will be led by the think tank’s founders, psychologist Laura Barbo and somatic coach Joelle Marcelle Antson.

Cut, Glue and Drag: Drag Collage Workshop

Come spend a fun and creative couple of hours with Helmehirmutis and Labia Koidula, bringing your idea for a drag character onto paper through collage. In the workshop, you’ll get to experiment with different images, colors, textures, and ideas to create a moodboard that helps shape your character’s style, mood, and self-expression. The workshop is suitable both for those who already have a character and for those who simply want to let their imagination run wild without ever stepping onto a stage.

The Principles and Action Plan for the Promotion of LGBTIQ Equality 2025–2030 aim to support the comprehensive and systematic advancement of equal opportunities for LGBTIQ people. The document represents a cross-sectoral agreement designed to ensure equal opportunities for LGBTIQ people across different areas of society.
The public presentation will provide an overview of the strategy, its development process, and the implementation of the planned activities. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the strategy and to share their views.
The number of participants is limited, and prior registration is required.
Entry to the joint building of the ministries will be granted on the basis of a registration list and a valid identity document (ID card or passport). The event will be in Estonian.

This summer exhibition at Seek Gallery of the Estonian Museum of Photography presents the distinctive work of Einar Tiits, an artist whose contribution to Estonian photography remained largely unrecognised during his lifetime. The exhibition features his photographs and collages, exploring the body beyond fixed expectations and conventions. In Tiits’ work, the body shifts, blends into its surroundings, and challenges familiar ideas about beauty, identity, and visibility.
Visitors are also invited to join a curator-led tour of the exhibition with curator Annika Haas.
